HAPPENING IN 2012:
Fred and Pauline Juma are a Kenyan couple residing in London England. The two once gave a personal financial donation to BBCF that enabled us to fill an entire classroom in Namble Primary School with study desks.
We have seen that this made a difference. We are honoured to usher in the year 2012 with Fred's email from England
Hello Zabde,
A very happy new year to you
I have spoken to my dad this morning who conveyed great news of achievement from Nambale AC. I have just spoken to Mr. Obanda Godfrey who sends lots of greetings to you and said that infact he was going to email you soonest. Nambale AC captured top slots in the county ranking of KCPE – Imagine Nambale produced the best girl in the county with 419 marks and the best boy with 413 marks, thus scoring both number 1 and 2 in Busia County. Nambale also had 410 (9th position in the county). Other pupils at Nambale scored 396, 392 and 388 – this is excellent, Mr. Obanda hopes to take 5 to National Schools and had meanscore of 328 up from last year's 297. I was personally surprised that Nambale scored far much better than expensive private schools like St. James Model Academy, apparently the first pupil at St James scored 407.
Mr. Obanda says the boy who scored 410 marks is the one you have been supporting from class six, well done to you and family for adding value to his life – this could be a piece of the newslettter cheers
It is really encouraging that Nambale AC with meagre provisions in terms of desks and other learning equipment has done us so proud, let us raise our glasses and celebrate, happy new year 2012, please extend our best wishes to your wife, Nicole, and your daughters Malindi and Kaisha – tell them I loved a picture of ‘The Ayienga's celebrate Christmas 2011’.
With thanks for everything in 2011 AND all the best for 2012
Fred and family
